Kathy L Wheeler, born in Presque Isle, Maine, actually grew up in the Dallas, Texas area. She migrated to Boulder and Longmont, Colorado for high school. So how she ended up in Oklahoma is as much a mystery to her as anyone. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a BA focus on Management Information Systems and vocal music minor.
Kathy is an active member of the Oklahoma Romance Writers. She has served as Pres-Elect, President and recently completed a four year stint as the Vice President of Communication. She has nine published books and remains active in her publishing pursuits. Her critique partners vary from an internationally published author of Harlequin, Grand Central and NAL to a current editor of The Wild Rose Press. Kathy loves the NFL, holds NBA Thunder season basketball tickets, adores musical theater, reading and writing—and just to round things out—karaoke.
Besides belonging to her local RWA Chapter, OKRWA, Kathy belongs to other chapters of the national organization as well: The Beau Monde and DARA.
·         Book Title: Quotable

·         Blurb:
GENNA LYNDSEY is not a people person.  A short, too-skinny, wild haired waif, with crazy hair and sturdy nerdy glasses lives through books.  So it’s lucky she and her best friend own their own bookstore.  After learning her college boyfriend only used her to help skim through, she realized dating was too unreliable to depend on others.
RICK JOHNSON, Fraud Insurance Claims Investigator, is assigned to look into an unusual number of claims filed by the owners of Renewed Interest Used Bookstore and one Genna Lyndsey.  He suspects Genna of sabotaging her own property for insurance money.  But what his investigation uncovers is an adorable introvert determined to keep everyone at bay with obscure quotes designed to keep others at bay when they venture too close, while someone else resolves to put her out of business—permanently.

  1. *waves* south to Oklahoma! Hi Kathy, thanks for stopping by and being a part of my book launch.

    1. thanks for having me, Jamie. Miss seeing you!

  2. Oooh, a bookstore book! I lu-u-u-uv bookstore books, from Carolyn Hart to Josh Lanyon. It's one thing I haven't tackled myself, but there's plenty of scope for mayhem in a bookstore. :)

  3. Sounds fun. What made you decide to have her own a bookstore?
